Choosing the Type of Digital Camcorder

Prior to purchasing the camcorder for that special occasion, research is essential. There is an abundance of selection from brands (Sony, Canon, Nikon and Samsung), recording styles (eg firewire and DV recording) and format types. Slow and Steady

Remember the camera needs time to focus on objects, make sure enough time is spent on each scene before moving the camera to another subject.

Analog tapes are not recommended as they are outdated and only yield low quality video and audio. They are relatively cheap, but do not work adequately enough to be considered a camcorder for your special occasion.

An alternative to analog tapes is their evolved form, digital. The price difference is worth the upgrade, I would not suggest analog tapes to anyone living in the 21st century, the media type is outdated and no longer relevant.
