The Mini DV format has been used in a large range of video camcorders. Their popularity has led to the creation of many available programs which support editing and DVD transferring. The only additional hardware needed to transfer media from Mini DV's to DVD's is a firewire. The firewire ports are needed to transfer the large size videos, if a computer does not have a firewire port, they may be added for approximately 30 dollars.

Controlling the Video Camcorder

It is frustrating when a shot is missed because you thought the camcorder was on. The user should learn and be familiar with the equipment; often time's camcorders make a slight noise when the recording process is enabled. Learn this noise and remember it.
